Skill level : Adventurous Beginner, you will need to know how to knit in the round.
The Toe Up Vanilla Socks can be made in 3 different sizes. To help you choose the best size for your feet, if you usually make 56st socks, choose Small, if you usually make 64st socks, choose Medium, and if you usually make 72st socks, choose Large. Alternatively, use these approximate measurements: foot circumference of finished sock, slightly stretched, but will easily stretch further: Small-18cm (7”) Medium-20cm (7 3/4”) Large-22.5cm (9”) Length is customisable for all sizes.
These socks are knitted Toe Up, in the round, with a Short Row Heel.
Yarn, Needles & Extras:
- 2.5mm 80cm (32") circular needle (and 20cm/9" circular needles or double pointed needles, if preferred)
- 240-300m (260-330 yds) sock yarn/4 ply/fingering weight
- 4 stitch markers
- tapestry needle to weave in yarn ends
